Day‑by‑Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
Meet your driver at Athens International Airport for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After settling in, take a leisurely evening walk through the charming Plaka district, lined with shops, tavernas, and narrow cobblestone streets beneath the glowing Acropolis.
Day 2 – Athens City Tour
This morning, join your expert guide for a half‑day city tour, visiting the Acropolis and Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the impressive Acropolis Museum. Learn about Athens’ role as the cradle of democracy and philosophy. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore Syntagma Square, browse Monastiraki’s flea market, or sip coffee at a local café.
Day 3 – Mycenae • Epidaurus • Nafplio
Leave Athens for the Corinth Canal, a narrow waterway connecting the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Continue to the legendary ruins of Mycenae, the citadel of King Agamemnon. Next, visit the ancient theater of Epidaurus, famous for its near‑perfect acoustics. End the day in Nafplio, a beautiful seaside town with Venetian architecture and waterfront promenades.
Day 4 – Olympia
Journey through the Peloponnese countryside to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Explore the ancient stadium, Temple of Zeus, and the site’s archaeological museum, home to the famous statue of Hermes. In the evening, enjoy dinner in a family‑run taverna or take a walk under the stars.
Day 5 – Delphi
Travel north to Delphi, set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus with breathtaking valley views. Tour the Sanctuary of Apollo, where the Oracle once delivered her prophecies, and visit the museum to see the Charioteer of Delphi statue. Overnight in a mountain‑view hotel.
Day 6 – Meteora
Drive through central Greece to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its towering rock pinnacles and centuries‑old monasteries. Visit two of these extraordinary monasteries, still active and filled with Byzantine frescoes. Enjoy a scenic sunset before relaxing at your Kalambaka hotel.
Day 7 – Return to Athens
Make your way back to Athens, arriving by afternoon. Spend your final evening souvenir shopping, enjoying a farewell dinner, or joining an optional Cape Sounion sunset tour to see the Temple of Poseidon.
