Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour with Go Epic Tours Inc. (“Go Epic Tours”, “we,” or “the Company”), you agree to this Travel Insurance & Liability Waiver as a condition of your participation. This Waiver is part of our booking terms and conditions and is accepted electronically (no physical signature required) when you complete your reservation. Please read this document carefully. By clicking “I Accept” or otherwise indicating your agreement during booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

Travel Insurance Requirement

​

Comprehensive Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. Such insurance should at minimum cover:

• Trip Cancellation or Interruption: Reimbursement for non-refundable tour costs if you must cancel or cut your trip short.

• Medical and Health Coverage: Emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, and evacuation in case of illness or injury abroad.

• Travel Delays and Missed Connections: Costs of accommodations, meals, or alternative transport due to flight cancellations, delays, or strikes.

• Baggage and Personal Effects: Loss, theft, or damage to your luggage and personal belongings.

No Insurance Provided by Go Epic Tours: We do not sell or provide travel insurance. It is your sole responsibility to obtain travel insurance coverage that meets your individual needs. You acknowledge that if you choose to travel without adequate insurance, you will be personally responsible for all costs arising from any unexpected events or emergencies that would otherwise have been covered. Go Epic Tours will not be liable for any losses, expenses, or costs (e.g. medical bills, evacuation costs, lost trip payments, or other damages) that could have been mitigated or reimbursed by an appropriate insurance policy.

Assumption of Inherent Risks

​

Risks Inherent to Travel: You understand that traveling to international destinations (including our tours in the Mediterranean such as Turkey and Greece, and any future destinations) involves certain inherent and unpredictable risks. By joining a Go Epic Tours trip, you voluntarily accept all inherent risks, which may include but are not limited to:

• Travel Disruptions: Delays or cancellations of flights, ferries, trains, or other transportation (for example, due to airline schedule changes, mechanical issues, strikes or labor disputes).

• Adverse Weather & Natural Events: Unexpected weather conditions, natural disasters, or other environmental hazards (such as storms, earthquakes, or wildfires) that could impact travel plans or safety.

• Political & Civil Unrest: Political instability, civil disturbances, protests, security alerts, or government upheaval in a destination that may affect itinerary or personal safety.

• Health Risks: Illness, epidemics/pandemics, food or water-borne ailments, or other medical emergencies occurring during travel.

• Personal Incidents: Accidents or injuries during activities or excursions, or other personal unforeseen incidents while on tour.

Voluntary Participation: You affirm that your participation in any Go Epic Tours trip is voluntary, and you knowingly assume full responsibility for these risks and any resulting consequences. While we at Go Epic Tours prioritize your safety and will take reasonable precautions, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee that such risks will not occur. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with any travel advisories or warnings in effect for the destinations and to make an informed decision to travel.

Third-Party Service Providers & Local Operators

​

Independent Suppliers: Go Epic Tours acts as a tour coordinator, partnering with independent third-party service providers to deliver your travel experience. This includes, for example, airlines, hotels, transportation companies, local tour operators, activity organizers, and guides. All tours are operated on the ground by contracted professional local providers in each destination, who are trusted partners but operate as independent contractors and not as employees or agents of Go Epic Tours.

No Control Over Third-Party Acts: While we carefully select reputable providers and contractors, Go Epic Tours does not own or control the day-to-day operations of these third parties. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible or liable for any acts, omissions, negligence, breaches of contract, or errors on the part of any third-party service provider. This includes (but is not limited to) any changes in service, personal injuries, property damage, delays, or other incidents that may occur due to the actions (or inaction) of a hotel, carrier, transport operator, guide, or other supplier.

Supplier Terms Apply: Any services provided by third parties are subject to the terms and conditions of those individual suppliers. By booking with Go Epic Tours, you also agree to abide by the terms of these suppliers. We will do our best to assist in resolving any issues that arise with third-party services, but any claims, demands, or refunds related to the performance of those services may need to be directed to the specific provider and will be subject to their policies.

Unforeseen Events & Changes (Force Majeure)

​

Events Beyond Our Control: Go Epic Tours will make every effort to operate your tour as planned, but please understand that unforeseeable events beyond our control may necessitate changes, disruptions, or even cancellations in your itinerary. These events, often referred to as “force majeure” circumstances, include but are not limited to: airline or transportation cancellations, significant delays or schedule changes, natural disasters or severe weather (e.g. hurricanes, earthquakes, floods), epidemics/pandemics or public health emergencies, war, acts of terrorism or civil unrest, government actions or travel restrictions (such as border closures, visa suspensions, or sudden changes to entry requirements), and other similar extraordinary events.

Itinerary Changes: In the event such circumstances arise, Go Epic Tours reserves the right to modify, substitute, or cancel part or all of the tour itinerary for the safety and best interest of our guests. This may include changes to accommodations, activities, routes, or means of transport. We will attempt to provide you with alternative arrangements of comparable value if possible.

Liability for Disruptions: Under these force majeure conditions, Go Epic Tours cannot accept liability for any resulting losses, costs, or inconveniences. You acknowledge that any delays, expenses, or losses caused by events beyond our control will be your responsibility. This means that any additional costs due to trip interruptions or changes (for example, extra lodging, meals, or transportation required due to a delayed flight or a missed connection, etc.) shall be borne by you. Such costs may be recoverable under your travel insurance, and it is again strongly advised that you have appropriate coverage.

No Refunds for Force Majeure: Refunds or compensation in these situations will be limited, as per our booking terms and the policies of our suppliers. Any possible refunds for unused services will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on what our third-party providers are willing to offer. Go Epic Tours is not obligated to provide refunds for portions of trips missed due to any of the above uncontrollable events.

Release of Liability & Limitation of Liability

​

Release and Waiver: By agreeing to this Waiver, you hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Go Epic Tours Inc., its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for any loss, damage, injury (including illness or death), or expense that you or your heirs, dependents, or personal representatives may incur arising out of or in connection with your tour or any travel arrangements booked through Go Epic Tours. This release applies to all inherent risks and hazards of travel described above, as well as any negligence by third-party providers or, to the fullest extent permitted by law, negligence on the part of the Released Parties.

Scope of Liability: To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the Released Parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages whatsoever. In all circumstances, if any liability on the part of Go Epic Tours is established despite the waivers in this agreement, our liability shall be limited to the actual amount you paid to Go Epic Tours for your tour booking. You agree that Go Epic Tours is not liable for any amount or claim exceeding the tour cost, and you waive any right to seek damages beyond that amount.

No Effect on Statutory Rights: This Waiver is not intended to deprive you of any rights you may have under provincial or federal consumer protection laws that cannot be waived. It is intended to release and limit Go Epic Tours’s liability only to the extent permitted by law. If any portion of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder shall still be in effect to the fullest extent permitted.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

​

This Travel Insurance & Liability Waiver, and any disputes or claims arising from your booking or tour, shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. By accepting this Waiver, you agree that any legal action against Go Epic Tours must be brought in the appropriate courts located in the Province of Alberta, Canada (and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts). You also agree that any such claim will be handled individually and not as part of any class action or collective proceeding.

If you are booking from outside Canada, you understand that this agreement still applies and that by choosing to book a Go Epic Tours trip, you are voluntarily subjecting any claims to the specified Canadian jurisdiction and law.

Acknowledgment of Understanding

You confirm that you have carefully read and fully understand this Travel Insurance & Liability Waiver. You acknowledge that it contains important legal terms including a release of liability, assumption of risk, and a promise not to sue, which may limit your legal rights in the event of loss or injury. You acknowledge that you have the opportunity to seek independent legal advice regarding this Waiver if you wish.

By proceeding with your booking and electronically indicating your acceptance, you affirm that you understand and agree to all the above terms. Your acceptance is binding as an electronic signature. If you do not agree with these terms or do not accept the risks outlined, do not finalize your booking. Contact us with any questions or concerns before accepting.
